George Burley has named his squad for next weeks friendly against Japan.
Making a first appearence in the squad is Robert Snodgrass who is currently playing for Leeds, Daniel Fox from Celtic and Ross Wallace playing for Preston. Charlie Adam and Derek Riordan make a return to the international squad

Scott Brown scored at 56 minutes and James McFadden at 80 minutes.
Attendance 50,214
This game put Scotland back in second place in the Euro qualifier table. Win against Netherlands and we'd pretty much be on for a play-off, draw and it would depend on the other results.

With this result, and Norways win on the same day, Scotland finish in 3rd place.
Monday 14th September
George Burley met with SFA top man George Peat to discuss the 2010 qualifying campaign.
Tuesday 15th September
Following a meeting of the SFA committee, they have confirmed that George Burley will keep his job for the current time. Burleys contract is due to finish in the summer of 2010 with an option to extend to summer 2012.
Wednesday 16th September
George Burley confirms that Steven Presley will no longer form part of his backroom staff and Presley will return to full time football.

George Burley today announced the squad to face Macedonia and the Netherlands in the forthcoming World Cup 2010 qualifiers at Hampden.
There's a few surprises in the team including Kevin Kyle and David Weir. Kyle hasn't played for Scotland in the past 5 years. Weir is now 39 years old but was axed for the Norway match.
Craig Gorden is also back in the squad having been injured last season - he played his first game for Sunderland on Monday.
Gary Caldwell is suspended for the Macedonia game after being red carded in Norway.
