The SFA has revealed that a third of Scotland Supporters Club members have taken up the season ticket offer covering the remaining home 2010 World cup Qualifier games. 11,540 SSC members out of 32,500 took up the offer which closed on Friday 20th February.
The SFA offer included the Netherlands, Iceland and Macedonia home games.
Alison Jack, the SSC’s customer service managers said:
“Everyone here is absolutely blown away by the success of the multi match packages. We introduced them on the back of the largest ever survey of Scotland fans that we have ever conducted. The fans asked and we acted. The success is there for all to see.
“The fact that supporters have bought them in such huge numbers shows the passion that they have for following Scotland and also the faith that they have in George and the boys.
“Getting to the World Cup will be a huge team effort. Clearly the supporters want to play their part.”
Rob Shorthouse, the SFA communications manager commented:-
“The introduction of multi match tickets was the latest in a line of improvements to the way in which we deal with ticketing and communicate with supporters. The supporter survey, the new system of balloting and greater use of online ticket sales have worked well and clearly this latest move has also been a hit.
“We will soon be launching a new website that will make it even easier for us to speak directly to supporters and take on board their views. We are reacting to supporter demand like never before and we will continue to look for new ways to do our best for the people who show such incredible loyalty to their country.”

Acording to a recent email from TACC (Tartan Army Childrens Charity) there will be a new Scotland Away Football top for our match against the Netherlands on March 31st 2008.
3rd Prizes x 5 - The new Scotland away top, as worn by the team in Holland
No Pictures have surfaced as yet of the new top, and no other mention has been made of a new top coming out.
Hopefully there won't be a repeat of the maroon shirt disaster when we lost against Georgia away.
A new top at this stage is nothing more than a money making exercise dor Diadora.
