Scotland will travel to Japan for an international challenge match on Saturday 10th October 2009. The venue is expected to be announced in the next few days.
It seems this game may have been lined up should Scotland face a playoff for the World Cup 2010 – the games scheduled for November. Should Scotland fail to reach the playoff stage this trip just seems to be a money spinner for the SFA. It seems likely a large amount of players will pull out the squad rather than face an 18 hour flight to the other side of the world.
Current estimates are around 300 Scotland fans making the trip.
This is the last currently scheduled away game on the calendar.
