Sweden Match T-Shirt now available to order

Sweden V Scotland International match confirmed

sweden-flagThe SFA have finally confirmed that the full international between Sweden and Scotland will take place on the 11th August 2010.  The venue will be decided in the coming few weeks.

Possible venues include Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmo.

Scotland last played Sweden in 2004 in a friendly at Easter Road where we lost 4-1.  Previous to that we played them away in Gothenburg during 1997 as part of the 1998 World Cup Qualifiers where we were beaten 2-1.

Craig Levein has won his first game as gaffer of the Scotland International squad. This breaks a 14 years dry spell for Scotland wins at friendly matches at Hampden.

Attendance was 26,530. The east stand and south stand upper were closed for this match with the North and West stands reasonably full.

Scott Brown scored the winning goal after 60 minutes.
