Today the Scottish Football Association launched the new Adidas football strips.

We're waiting for more images to surface especially of the Lion Rampant that's supposed to be on the front.
From these images the shirt looks very skin tight that could prove interesting among the XL and XXL size Tartan Army!
From an enlargement of the image we can see a ghosted Scottish FA badge on the front of the shirt.

Update - Shirt has now been launched by the SFA - more information and actual photo here
There's been a lot of debate about what the new Scotland Adidas football strips will look like. We've gleaned a lot from Football Nations posts on Facebook as they were at the retailers only launch party back in November. No photographs from the event have leaked yet so we can only go by their description. What we know so far:-
Will be worn for the first time at the Scotland V Czech Republic match on Wednesday 3rd March 2010. The Home shirt will then be available to the public around June/July 2010. The away top will be available August 2010 to both the SFA and the public.
Navy with 3 white stripes down the sleeve from the neck line to the end. The collar is white and forms a circle round the neck. An embossed Lion Rampant shadow on the front along with the current SFA logo.
The shorts will be white with red socks.
The shirt will be a type 2 design. This means Adidas will use an existing design and customise it for Scotland.
The Away top will be yellow with navy blue stripes.
The Home top will be replaced in August 2011 by a brand new completely original and unique Adidas shirt.
The design below was created by TAMB member CraigCooper. It has been noted by sources that it's very close to the original.

Former Scotland Boss Craig Brown has joined forces with the Royal Regiment of Scotland to launch poppy branded Scotland retro football shirts. The retro tops have the Scottish 4 leaf poppy embroidered in to the top right of the shirt - not to be confused by the two leaf English poppy.
Craig Brown said: "Our Servicemen and women do a great job, facing many dangers and, sadly, some make the ultimate sacrifice. Many more come home with physical and emotional scars and PoppyScotland is there to support them. These shirts will allow football fans to show their support for Scotland’s veterans."
The text under the SFA roundel, which came from Poppy Scotland, reads "Serving their Country: British Forces & Scotland National Team"
The tops are produced by Subside Sports and are currently retailing for £34.99, and £5 from the sale will be going direct to Poppy Scotland - all money raised from this will be staying in Scotland supporting Scottish war heroes.

According to an article in today's Herald, the Scottish Football Association are on the verge of signing a new kit deal with Adidas. As reported recently, Scotland's current kit supplier Diadora went in to liquidation at which point the SFA terminated the deal. The SFA currently have enough supplies of strips to last till the end of the current qualifiying campaign.
The deal is likely to be rather more than the £1 million a year from Diadora. A retailer recently appologised to Scotland fans for never having Scotland kit in stock - as he couldn't get enought supplies of it. It will be interesting to see if Adidas tap in to one of the biggest kit buying countries in the word.
